    I am not of the school that believes in finding some kind of resolution by finally sharing one more feeling or thought — particularly when it is to a parent past 90. They were what they were. No doubt we have left our own issues in our wake. The person we need to come to terms with is ourselves. What happened to you which casts its shadow til today is fair game when writing. Your mom is past caring — drifting between personalities fair & foul. Still it is hard. Hard when the parent you really want to talk to is in the past. What is left is in fragments the woman who survived.
